20060731_1050 L freaked the docs with his hand...

L is ok, had a scheduled doc visit today, just called me from the hospital. When capturing the new cat, Zaphod, L was bitten on the hand. It swelled, no big deal, but the doc this morning freaked about it, sent L to hand specialist, they were very concerned because it was a cat bite at a joint and swelling, so they sent him to the pharmacy downstairs for antibiotics NOW, not tonight, NOW. Heck, we had not been so concerned, L was just soaking it. Nice to have insurance. He has to go back over the next couple of days for them to check it, but it should be fine.

Other than that, just a couple of general probs. No diabetes, which is good. More tests later, but should be ok.

Went to TByrd's. Took GP. He chased cats, but was maybe ok after a couple swatted his nose. He got along with the BIG dogs, but the little one didn't like him chasing cats and gave him what for. But the final straw was him trying to play with the horse T was riding, making her buck, throw T (everyone is fine), the horse nearly fell on L who was holding the lead, GP got kicked a few times and kept at it, nipping at the ankles of the horse. A great entanglement ensued, with T and L on the ground, and horses scattering. GP is fine, but he will have to be placed at CAP (Citizens for Animal Protection) to find a new home. Grrr.

T also got to climb trees and play in the mud and color Dora and have cake and ice cream and feed horses.

We are all home. Now to find out the drama at the meeting we missed. Tomorrow is dance class and working on the bathroom and grocery shopping and X and Y and Z and...
